It is a club-house for the kids and youth living in the largest urban basti (slum) in Pune at Bhavani Peth. It is a life-long Kindergarten for any community members and the entry is free of charge. The making of the academy is documented at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livingAcademy.org\">https:\/\/www.livingAcademy.org<\/a> and also as blogs by the students at <a href=\"https:\/\/metaStudio.org\/c\/la\">the chatShala: metaStudio.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About Kishore Bharati<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kishore Bharati is a 54-year-old volunteer-driven organization founded in November 1970 in Mumbai by a group of activists and professionals with roots in science, social science, social work, engineering, medicine, law, management, mass communication, and education. The initial group was ignited by the Gandhian vision of reconstructing India&#8217;s education system to catalyze social transformation and self-reliance and, most importantly, liberate villages from their endemic poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2247\" style=\"width:497px;height:331px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/image-2.png 480w, https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/image-2-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Anil Sadgopal the founding member and architect of Kishore Bharati engaging with children<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>To meet the objectives, Kishore Bharati conceived and implemented a spectrum of ideas during the 52 years of its existence.
