The initial group was ignited by the Gandhian vision of reconstructing India&#8217;s education system to catalyze social transformation and self-reliance and, most importantly, liberate villages from their endemic poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To meet the objectives, Kishore Bharati conceived and implemented a spectrum of ideas during the 52 years of its existence. Most notable among them are:<\/li><li> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/kishore-bharati-field\/\">Setting up a sprawling 150 acre rural campus<\/a> in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/1264-2\/\">Village Palia Pipariya<\/a> on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/map-of-area-around-kishore-bharati\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eastern end of  the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh (1972-91)<\/a>, which hosted various programs inspired by Gandhiji&#8217;s<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/nayi-taleem\/\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/nayi-taleem\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nai Taleem<\/a> <\/em>and other linked ideas of Rural Development and social transformation<br>* <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/farming-horticulture-2\/\">Agriculture<\/a> (including Animal Husbandry and Cross Breeding Horticulture)<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/other-programs-2\/\" target=\"_blank\"><br>*<\/a><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/irrigation\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Irrigation<\/a> (by promoting Concrete Ring Wells in collaboration with Friends Rural Centre Rasulia, Hoshangabad)<br>*<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/public-health\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Public<\/a> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/public-health\/\" target=\"_blank\">Health<\/a> (through village women and traditional Dais and in collaboration with Medico Friends Circle)<br>* Youth Conscientization for Social Change &amp; Development <\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/nayi-taleem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nai Taleem Experiment <\/a>with School Push-Outs\/Walk-outs at the Rural Campus (1974-77)                      <\/li><li>Cycle-borne <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/libraries-documentation\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mobile Library<\/a> in villages Library and Documentation Centre at the Rural Campus <\/li><li> Shaheed Bhagat Singh Pustakalaya &amp; Sanskritik Kendra at Pipariya town (30 Km from Rural Campus) organized by the local socialist youth                                                                                                 <\/li><li>Engagement with Peoples Movements  (from 1977 onwards)                                                               <\/li><li>&#8211;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/peasant-mobilisation\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mazdoor Sanghatan<\/a> at Village Palia Pipariya                                                                                                                                                                  <\/li><li>-Interfacing with tribal and trade union movements in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and     Chhattisgarh (then in Madhya Pradesh)<br>* Social Forestry at the Rural Campus<br>* <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/reproductive-health-and-the-gender-issue\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gender Equality and Women&#8217;s Liberation<\/a><br>* <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/reproductive-health-and-the-gender-issue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fertility Awareness Education Program<\/a> for both women and men<br>* Children&#8217;s Activity Program in neighbouring villages and government schools<br>* Peoples Science Movement in Rural Areas                                                                                                            <\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/hstp\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hoshangabad Science Teaching Program (HSTP)<\/a> in govt. middle schools, Class VI-VIII (1972-1982) in collaboration with Friends Rural Centre Rasulia, Hoshangabad<br>&nbsp;&#8211; Creation of Ekalavya (1983) to continue and extend HSTP program to Social Science and to Primary and Secondary Stages as well.<\/li><li>Joining the Struggle for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/democratic-human-rights\/\">Scientific Relief and rehabilitation of Bhopal poisonous gas victims<\/a><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/democratic-human-rights\/\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a>&amp; Justice from Union Carbide Corporation (1984-87)                                                                                                 <\/li><li> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kishorebharati.org\/water-conservation\/\" target=\"_blank\">Environmental Education<\/a> in collaboration with Eklavya) in Govt.
